Diving Barefoot in NSW Driving Test

driving

Lots of people don’t know whether they are allowed to drive barefoot or not. The answer is you don’t need to wear footwear to go for your driving test. Thus, if you are not comfortable wearing shoes for your driving test, you can drive barefoot. You go to the service center with proper footwear, finish the paperwork and then when you get into the car, take off your footwear and put it in the boot or back at the passenger seat and drive barefoot.

Until now there is no legislation that requires the driver to wear footwear to drive a motor vehicle in New South Wales. However, we would recommend that footwear should be worn while driving. If in case of negative consequence such as crash, your footwear could protect your feet from the sharp object and broken glass.
